Coastal Senior Home Safety & Support is a non-medical, preventative service led by a licensed occupational therapist with over 30 years of experience. We help older adults remain safely in the homes they love, and we keep families informed every step of the way — even from far away.
Our work focuses on two things: identifying safety concerns before they become problems, and providing regular, friendly check-ins that let families know how their loved one is really doing. We are not caregivers, not a medical service, and not an emergency responder — we're the trusted set of eyes and ears in between, filling a gap that families often don't know exists until they need it.

Most families benefit from both — but each can also stand alone, depending on your situation.
Home Safety Inspections
A careful, room-by-room walkthrough of the home, looking for fall hazards, lighting issues, bathroom and bedroom risks, fire and carbon monoxide concerns, and accessibility challenges. After the visit, families receive a clear written report with practical recommendations — plain language, no clinical jargon. Most homes reveal at least a few concerns the family wasn't aware of.

Scheduled, friendly in-home visits — about 30 minutes each — where Susan engages with your loved one, observes the home environment, and notes any changes in routine, mobility, or wellbeing. After every visit, the family receives a clear written update. Visits can be one-time, twice monthly, or weekly — whatever fits your situation. There's no long-term commitment.
